FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I GET PRINTS?
Prints are not typically included in packages. All images will be uploaded to a private online gallery where you can view, share, and order professional quality prints and other photo gifts. All major credit cards are accepted in my online store.
WHY AREN’T PRINTS INCLUDED?
I have found in the past that people would prefer to purchase their own size, style, and amount of prints or photo gifts. I leave those decisions up to you! It saves us all time and it saves you money in the end.
HOW DO I GET MY IMAGES?
Packages include instant digital downloads for family and life style portrait. If you are a wedding client custom USB are engraved for all of your images. USBs are also available for purchase for you loved ones for all types of sessions for an additional fee of $50.00 If you choose to upload to an online album such as facebook, flickr, etc. rights to The Maine Tinker studio is required. I have found just simply putting my website in the caption to be effective. I do not encourage people to purchase prints at a local department store, or to upload the images to a consumer grade online printer. Experience with this has proven poor quality. The colors are altered, the sharpness is lost, and the paper quality is such that it isn’t made to last. Part of your package is my attention to detail. My professional eye will cull and edit the photos. Depending on your package you will receive a set amount of high res edited jpeg photos.
WHAT IF I WANT ALL OF THE IMAGES TAKEN?
Due to branding purposes, editing styles and attention to details such as proper exposure and facial expressions caught in between those perfect moments, I do not offer access to all images taken at the session.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
I personally feel to dress as comfortable as possible, and wear clothes that reflect your personality. To “matchy” doesn’t always register as well in images. Some ideas to ponder, neutral colors with a bright accent colors. Mix and match simple patterns, avoid branding and logos. There is no need to go out and buy all new outfits for your photos. Also keep in mind black and white images and how your outfit may transfer to the image.Keep in mind where will be shooting, indoors outdoors, rocky cliffs, winter setting, grassy etc. Think walkable footwear and clothes you can sit down in. Stick to one style. Make sure everyone in the group is wearing one style of clothing such as classy (formal wear, suits, dresses, etc.), casual (shorts, t-shirts, sandals, etc.), or contemporary (a mixture of classy and casual–like a dressy top with jeans and heels). Now my favorite part bring accessories and props that pull together the outfit. For example I love hats. Often, I will take photos of details like hand-holding, rings, and family feet! Remember to clean and trim nails for these shots. For feet, if you have matching shoes or shoes in the same shade, or clean bottoms of feet.If you have a special outfit, accessory or prop you’d like to incorporate, just let me know and bring it in!
