Mini Sessions
I offer mini-sessions only once or twice a year. These sessions are on-site/ specific locations, where clients come for a short amount of time for a fun-filled session with a beautiful set. Where are the best places for family photos in Maine?
I photograph families all across Southern Maine including Freeport, Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Falmouth, and Peaks Island. Some favorite locations include Wolfe’s Neck Woods, Winslow Park, Kettle Cove, and the beautiful Maine coastline at sunset.
When is the best time of day for family photos?
The most beautiful light happens during sunrise and sunset. Sunrise sessions are especially magical in the summer because beaches are quiet, the light is soft, and kids are often happiest early in the day.
How far in advance should we book family photos in Maine?
Summer and fall family sessions tend to book several months in advance, especially during peak foliage season in Maine. I recommend reserving your date early to ensure availability.
What should we wear for Maine family photos?
Families photograph best when they feel like themselves. If you love color, bring the color. If you love patterns, wear the patterns. The goal is to choose outfits that feel comfortable and authentic to your family. I do recommend incorporating texture and choosing a simple color palette with two or three main colors that everyone can pull from. This helps the photos feel cohesive while still allowing each person’s personality and style to shine. After booking, I also provide a style guide with tips and examples to make planning easy and stress free.
